Why isn't there a message-id on each mail generated by the webmail
system?
The test mails I mentioned on thread "pop3 mail broken" did eventually
reach the pop3 server and make themselves collectable, but my anti spam
software acted on a rule I've defined in it and deleted these mails
because they had no message-id header something that, until now, I've
only seen in spam. It did however log all the headers that were
present, so I know how those test mails made their way through demon's
system. [Very slowly.]
But I thought that the RFCs made Message-Id, if not absolutely
required, at least heavily recommended in emails. So what's going on?
system?
